My reason for starting this blog was to have a place to write about the experience of losing my 18-year-old son, Jacob, in a car accident. Maybe, in the process, I can help others understand what a person goes through when they lose a child. If you have lost a child yourself, you may need to know that you are not alone in what you feel, or if you have a friend or family member who has lost a child, this might be a place to learn how you can be most helpful. Perhaps I can help you while also helping myself. We can join together on our journeys of grief and our journeys of grace. Let’s sojourn for awhile and catch our breath. Let’s soak up the warmth of God’s grace.
