A follower and lover of Jesus Christ the Son of God, wife of Michael, mother of two amazing children - Jacob who entered Heaven at the age of 18 and Raleigh who is now 20. She was 16 when Jacob died.
Michael and I had a marriage filled with its ups and downs over 23 years, but mostly it was up. Seven weeks after our 23rd wedding anniversary, our son Jacob, who was a freshman in college, was killed in a car accident on his way back to campus after a weekend visit at home. We were a happy and loving family of four, but life changed forever for our family on September 24, 2006.
We have had to figure out how to make sense of life after Jacob’s premature departure to Heaven. We don’t have it figured out, and we probably never will on this side of the veil, but we have learned how to live life well. It is my hope and desire to help others do the same. I cannot remove anyone’s pain or make their lives better, but I can walk alongside people who are hurting and need a helping hand. If God chooses to use me as an instrument of His comfort, healing and love to others, it will be an honor.
